I put 3 base coats of white Rust-Oleum Specialty Lacquer. I let it dry overnight and then three coats of each color. I am going to spray a couple of coats of clear after I finish the decals.

There, The decals are on. I am glad to see Estes kits have gone back to water slide decals and balsa nose cones. Don't know why they went back to the old rubber band shock cord. I'll replace those with Kevlar.
